SPECIALIZED AREAS OF EXPERTISE
In addition to her broader psychotherapy work, Dr. Mansoor offers specialized services informed by advanced training in neuropsychology, rehabilitation, and work with altered and nonordinary states of consciousness.
Cognitive Rehabilitation After Neurological Illness or Injury
When your brain isn’t working the way it used to, everyday life can feel unexpectedly difficult.
Changes in memory, attention, processing speed, organization, or executive functioning can affect everything from work and relationships to confidence and independence. For adults experiencing cognitive changes related to neurological illness or injury, cognitive rehabilitation can help make daily life more manageable.
Dr. Mansoor completed a two-year postdoctoral fellowship in Neuropsychology and Rehabilitation at MedStar National Rehabilitation Hospital. She uses individualized strategies to help clients strengthen everyday functioning, adapt to cognitive changes, and develop practical ways of working with their current strengths and challenges.
The goal is not simply to understand what has changed, but to help you function more effectively and feel more capable in your day-to-day life.
ASK ABOUT COGNITIVE REHABILITATION →Psychedelic Preparation & Integration
A psychedelic experience can be powerful, confusing, meaningful, unsettling, or all of those things at once. You do not have to make sense of it alone.
Dr. Mansoor provides psychotherapy for individuals preparing psychologically for psychedelic experiences or seeking to understand and integrate experiences they have already had. She completed training through the MAPS MDMA Therapy Training Program and has particular expertise working with psychedelic, dissociative, meditative, and other nonordinary states of consciousness.
Preparation therapy can help you explore your intentions, expectations, concerns, and emotional readiness before an experience. Integration therapy provides space afterward to process what occurred, make sense of difficult or meaningful material, and consider how emerging insights may connect with your relationships, values, patterns, and ongoing therapeutic work.
The focus is not the experience itself, but helping you approach it thoughtfully and integrate what emerges into the life you are actually living.
