CELIA BARRIENTOS, MA, NCC
ABOUT CELIA
Celia Barrientos received her master’s degree in rehabilitation counseling from The George Washington University and is a first-generation Latina therapist. Throughout nearly a decade of supporting emerging adults, Celia has developed a dual expertise: specializing in disabilities, neurodivergence, and chronic health conditions, while maintaining a deep background in crisis intervention and care coordination for trauma, depression, anxiety, and severe mental health challenges.
Celia works from an evidence-based perspective, integrating trauma-informed approaches with behavioral and mindfulness-based interventions. Known for her compassionate and collaborative approach, Celia is grounded in a holistic, person-centered style that recognizes the complexity of each individual’s emotional, physical, and social needs. She prioritizes individualized care while integrating support systems, helping individuals cultivate the resilience and emotional regulation needed to foster deep self-insight and achieve lasting, meaningful growth.
Celia completed her degree and is being mentored by Chelsea Eckhouse, PhD throughout her residency.
