REGINA HUGHES, MEd, NCC
ABOUT REGINA
Regina (Gina) is a Resident in Counseling in Virginia. She earned her master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and Military & Veterans Counseling from William & Mary and specializes in individual and couples therapy.
Gina works with clients who feel stuck in unhealthy relationship patterns, overwhelmed by anxiety or overthinking, emotionally disconnected, or unsure how to establish healthy boundaries. Drawing on attachment theory, somatic awareness, and other evidence-based approaches, she helps clients understand the origins of these patterns and develop healthier, more intentional ways of relating. By exploring the connection between mind, body, and relationships, Gina helps clients untangle recurring cycles that may be keeping them stuck or disconnected from themselves and others. In sessions, she offers a warm, nonjudgmental, and client-centered space where clients feel safe exploring vulnerable emotions, experiences, and relationship dynamics. Gina is especially passionate about helping couples strengthen communication, move beyond blame and defensiveness, and build more secure, meaningful connections.
Alongside her clinical work, Gina integrates her background as a certified yoga instructor, with training in Hatha, Vinyasa, restorative, and prenatal yoga, to support emotional regulation and somatic awareness. As a military spouse and mother, she brings a real-world understanding of life’s transitions and the importance of creating relationships that feel supportive, connected, and secure.
Gina provides clinical services at Eckhouse Therapy under the direct supervision of Chelsea Eckhouse, PhD.
