Clear Information for Confident Decisions

Starting therapy comes with important questions, especially when it comes to cost, insurance coverage, and protecting your privacy. We want you to have the answers you need before deciding whether to begin care with us.

Below, you'll find straightforward information about our therapy fees, out-of-network reimbursement, Good Faith Estimates, Medicare, and privacy protections. And if there's anything you'd like to discuss further, we're always happy to help.

Therapy Fees & Session Rates

We understand that beginning therapy is an important decision, and knowing what to expect financially is part of feeling comfortable moving forward. At Eckhouse Therapy, we believe in being transparent about our fees so you can make informed decisions about your care.

Our standard fees for individual and couples therapy are outlined below.

ServiceIndividual TherapyCouples Therapy
Comprehensive Intake Assessment (initial appointment)$405$425
45-minute therapy session (standard session)$285$295

Your first appointment is a comprehensive intake assessment, providing an opportunity for us to get to know you, understand what brings you to therapy, and begin developing a thoughtful, individualized approach to your care.

Most ongoing therapy sessions are 45 minutes. In some cases, a shorter or longer session may be clinically appropriate or mutually agreed upon. When this occurs, fees are adjusted proportionally based on the standard 45-minute session rate.

Payment is due at the time of service. As an out-of-network practice, we provide documentation that you may submit to your insurance company for potential reimbursement. Additional information about insurance and reimbursement is available below.

Understanding your benefits

Out-of-Network Insurance & Reimbursement

Eckhouse Therapy is an out-of-network practice. We do not participate directly with insurance companies or bill insurance on your behalf.

Payment is made directly to Eckhouse Therapy at the time of service. However, many insurance plans include out-of-network mental health benefits that may help offset the cost of therapy. To support this process, we provide a monthly superbill that you can submit to your insurance company for potential reimbursement.

Because coverage and reimbursement vary by plan, we cannot guarantee reimbursement. We encourage you to contact your insurance provider before beginning therapy to better understand your out-of-network benefits and any applicable requirements.

Questions to Ask Your Health Insurer

If you're considering using out-of-network benefits, these questions may help you better understand your coverage:

  • Does my plan cover out-of-network mental health services, including telehealth?
  • What is my out-of-network deductible, and how much have I met?
  • What percentage of the cost is reimbursed?
  • Does my plan cover diagnostic evaluations (CPT 90791) and individual psychotherapy (CPT 90832, 90834, and 90837)?
  • Are there any restrictions related to mental health diagnoses (ICD-10 codes), prior authorization, or submitting claims?

The Right Fit Starts With a Conversation

Understanding the practical details is one part of choosing a therapist. Finding someone who understands your needs and has the expertise to help is just as important.

A complimentary consultation is an opportunity to share what you're looking for, ask questions, and explore whether Eckhouse Therapy is the right fit for you.

UNDERSTANDING YOUR COSTS

Good Faith Estimates & the No Surprises Act

You have the right to understand the expected cost of your care before receiving services. Under federal law, clients who are uninsured or who choose not to use insurance to pay for their care generally have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate outlining the expected cost of scheduled services.

If you receive a bill that is substantially higher than your Good Faith Estimate, you may have the right to dispute the charges through the federal patient-provider dispute resolution process.

You can learn more about Good Faith Estimates, your rights, and the protections available under the No Surprises Act using the resources below.
